Andreia Nunes Laure Makes History as First Woman to Own Majority Stake in a Portuguese Football Club

Portuguese businesswoman Andreia Nunes Laure has made history in grand style, becoming the first woman in Portugal to hold the largest share of the capital of a sports company (SAD), through her acquisition of a majority stake in the Alcochetense club.
This historic step came after the approval to create the company during the general assembly held in December 2025, where the project secured 60.42 percent of the votes, marking a milestone that represented a major turning point in the club's journey.
Andreia Nunes Laure is one of the prominent figures in the business world. Her name was previously linked to footballer Ivan Cavaleiro, while she is currently in a relationship with Dutch businessman Django Laure. This move embodies her official entry into the world of football through the gateway of investment and management.
The new sports company will be chaired by André Geraldes, who has built up significant experience within a number of Portuguese clubs, including Sporting Lisbon, Farense and Estrela da Amadora, further strengthening the club's future ambitions.
On the sporting side, Alcochetense managed to earn promotion to the "Campeonato de Portugal" last season, before finishing the current campaign in fifth place, reflecting relative stability and a solid foundation to build on.
The new management is aiming to secure another promotion during the 2026-2027 season, with a focus on modernising infrastructure and investing in technology related to the development of sporting performance, a move that underscores the club's desire to enter a new, more professional and competitive phase.
