Atlas Lions Face Congo to Begin Their Road to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics

The draw for the African qualifiers of the women's football tournament at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games has paired the Morocco women's national team against its Congolese counterpart in the second round of the competition.
The Morocco national team will enter directly at this stage, after receiving a bye in the first round thanks to its favourable continental ranking.
Should the Atlas Lions manage to overcome Congo, they will face in the third round the winner of the tie between Nigeria and the qualifier from the match between Sudan and the Comoros, in what is expected to be a tougher test.
If they reach the fourth round, the national team will face a stiff challenge, as they could meet one of the teams emerging from the ties between Tunisia and Senegal, and between Benin and Mali, in a decisive stage of the journey to qualify for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
