Difaa El Jadidi: Controversial Remarks Send Defender and Club Secretary to Ethics Committee

The ethics committee of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation has decided to summon Hamza El Maliki, defender of Difaa Hassani El Jadidi, to appear before it over his controversial statements, which included the phrase: "Take him from AS FAR and give him to Raja... they are chess players".

The committee announced the provisional suspension of player Hamza El Maliki until he is heard next week, when it will decide on the sanction that may be imposed on him based on the content of his remarks and the extent to which they can be substantiated.

In the same context, Salaheddine Moktaridh, secretary general of the El Jadida side, will appear before the same committee over his statements in which he accused the referee of bias, noting that the official had come to the Mohammed V complex "to carry out his mission to perfection," before adding that Raja Club Athletic "did not need him".

Both parties are expected to be required to provide concrete evidence supporting their statements, failing which they will be liable to disciplinary sanctions in accordance with the regulations in force.
