Fathi Jamal: No Rush to Pick the Olympic Coach, and the Next Boss Will Be Top Class

National coach Fathi Jamal has stated that the Royal Moroccan Football Federation is currently relying on technical stability within its youth national teams, noting that Jamal Aït Ben Idir is at present in charge of the Olympic team, owing to his strong knowledge of this category and his previous experience as assistant to coach Mohamed Ouahbi with the under-20 side.
In a statement to the media, Fathi Jamal explained that the federation does not want to rush the decision on the new coach, stressing that the current phase requires patience and a careful choice of the right name, serving the long-term interests of Moroccan football.
The same speaker added that officials are aiming to hire a high-calibre coach, affirming: "We will not rush our decision, but we promise the fans that, when a new coach is appointed, he will be of the calibre of the top managers capable of providing the added value we are looking for."
This approach is part of the federation's drive to build an integrated sporting project that ensures continuity and progress across the various age groups, particularly the Olympic team, which is regarded as a key reservoir for feeding the senior national team in the future.
