Tragedy Rocks Ghanaian Football: Berekum Chelsea Player Killed in Armed Attack

The Ghana Football Association expressed, on Monday morning, its deep shock and profound sorrow following the announcement of the death of player Dominic Frimpong, star of the Berekum Chelsea club, in the wake of a tragic incident.
According to preliminary information, Frimpong was killed after the team's bus came under an armed attack as he was returning from a match in the Ghana Premier League, an incident that shook the country's football community and left behind a wave of grief and shock.
The Ghanaian football body extended its heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, his teammates, and everyone connected to Berekum Chelsea, stressing that the loss of the player is not only a blow to the club but to all of Ghanaian football, especially as he was regarded as one of the promising talents destined for a remarkable career.
The Association also confirmed that it remains in constant contact with the club's management and the relevant authorities, foremost among them the security services, in order to follow the ongoing investigations and uncover the circumstances of the incident, while emphasizing the need to take all measures to ensure that justice is served.
In closing its statement, the body called on all members of the football family to stand in solidarity with the family of the deceased and his club during this difficult time, while working in the future to strengthen safety and security conditions during clubs' travels, in order to prevent such tragedies from recurring.
