Historic Tribute: Malaga Names Its Training Center Pitch After Abdellah Ben Barek

Spanish football club Malaga made a gesture reflecting loyalty to the club's iconic figures by immortalizing the name of Moroccan legend Abdellah Ben Barek, nicknamed "Abdellah Malaga," naming the main pitch at its training center after him, during a special ceremony dominated by feelings of appreciation and recognition of his dedication.
This tribute comes in recognition of the rich career Ben Barek left his mark on within the club's walls, both as a player and as a coach, having contributed for many years to developing the team and helping shape generations of rising talents.
The ceremony was attended by a number of club officials, alongside first-team players and academy graduates, as well as representatives from the Malaga city council and local authorities, in addition to a group of former players and members of the honoree's family.
Ben Barek's entrance was a moving moment, as he walked through a guard of honor formed by the academy's youngsters and former players, in a scene that reflected the great standing he enjoys within the Andalusian club.
