Weightlifting: Morocco National Team at the African Championship in Egypt

Morocco's national weightlifting team arrived in Egypt on Monday morning to take part in the African Championship, whose various stages are being held in the city of Ismailia from 10 to 17 May. The national squad brings together its finest, most experienced athletes, including champion Maha Fajr El Islam, bronze medallist at the 2021 World Junior Championships. Moroccan weightlifting has built a respectable presence at the Maghreb, Arab and continental levels thanks to the efforts of the federation, chaired by Mr. Kamal Lahlou, which relies on widening the base of participation, scouting for talent and preparing future generations in schools at both regional and national levels…
This continental participation gives the Morocco national team an opportunity to gauge the technical level of the competing teams and to test itself against them, as it prepares to take on international competitions that serve as qualifiers for the upcoming Olympic Games - Los Angeles 2028.
