Fouzi Lekjaa Congratulates AS FAR on Reaching CAF Champions League Final

Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, extended his congratulations, on his own behalf and on behalf of the members of the executive board, to AS FAR on the occasion of their qualification for the CAF Champions League final, despite their one-nil defeat to Renaissance Berkane in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final.
The military club's qualification for the final came thanks to their two-nil win in the first leg, played at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, allowing them to secure their place in the final on aggregate over the two matches.
This achievement is the fruit of the great work delivered by the team throughout its run in the continental competition, where it showed strong cohesion and a high level of competitiveness that enabled it to reach the final, a step that reflects the strength of national football on the African stage.
In the final, AS FAR will face South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, who advanced to this stage after getting past Tunisia's Esperance de Tunis. The first leg will be played in South Africa, while the return leg will take place in Morocco.
