AS FAR (Royal Army) goalkeeper Reda Tagnaouti has stressed that his team is entering the African competitions with vast experience in this kind of fixture, insisting that the squad is fully aware of the value and importance of these matches.
Tagnaouti said: "I have been playing in African competitions for eight years, I know this team well, and I fully understand the nature and value of these matches. We are ready to give everything we have on the pitch, because we are aware of the scale of the responsibility on our shoulders."
The club's goalkeeper added: "I always talk to the players about how to approach the decisive stages and manage every detail wisely and with focus. The first leg will be extremely important, and we will fight to achieve a positive result that brings us closer to our big goal, so that we can celebrate with our fans in the return leg."
It is worth noting that the first leg between AS FAR and their hosts, South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, will be played on Sunday from three o'clock in the afternoon, on the pitch of the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
