Alexandre Santos: We Know Sundowns' Strength and Will Fight for the Title

Portuguese coach Alexandre Santos of AS FAR has stated that his side's preparations for the CAF Champions League final are progressing in a positive atmosphere marked by focus and discipline, ahead of the clash with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Santos stressed that every member of the squad is aware of the importance of this historic occasion, with the first leg scheduled for Sunday, 17 May in Pretoria.
In comments to the official website of the Confederation of African Football, the Portuguese coach explained that the technical staff is working on every aspect, whether tactical, physical or mental, in order to prepare the team in the best possible way to represent the club and Morocco in this continental final.
Santos added that the encounter with Sundowns will not be easy, given the strength of the South African side and its vast experience in continental competitions, noting that the focus is on tactical discipline, minimizing mistakes and taking the chances that arise.
He also highlighted that the experience of some AS FAR players in African competitions could be an important factor, alongside the team spirit and the strong desire to win the title.
Santos concluded his remarks by stressing that reaching the final carries great responsibility, adding:
"We respect the history of the club and we understand the value of this challenge, and we will fight to bring the title back to its rightful place," while also sending a message of thanks to the team's supporters, regarding them as the main source of strength and support at this decisive stage.
