Mohamed Timoumi: AS FAR Can Win Continental Title Despite Sundowns' Strength

Moroccan legend and former AS FAR star Mohamed Timoumi has stated that the capital's club is facing a decisive stage in its continental campaign, stressing that winning the title is no easy task and requires a great deal of focus and discipline.
In comments to the beIN Sports network, Timoumi said: "AS FAR has an important match and a heavy responsibility ahead, and it is not easy to win a title at the continental level," adding that the team "is heading in the right direction after eliminating clubs of great value and a major legacy."
Timoumi, winner of the African Ballon d'Or, praised the qualities of the AS FAR players, explaining: "You have great value at the continental and individual level, in addition to your outstanding collective output."
Regarding the final, he made clear that the clash against South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns will not be easy, saying: "I hope the title will be yours, even against Sundowns, but good management, self-confidence, focus and not rushing are decisive factors in achieving the goal."
Mohamed Timoumi concluded his remarks by underlining the importance of fan support, saying: "Behind you is a large crowd awaiting a second title from you, and you have no choice but to win it, as all the ingredients are in place to overcome Sundowns and lift the cup."
